Data Analyst

WayLit is an immigration management platform focused on the needs of employers and their foreign national employees. We are on a mission to improve our customer’s experience with immigration. A small team with a singular focus on better managing the immigration needs of our growing list of customers. We are looking to grow our team by adding a Data Analyst to help us gather insights and build a data backed sales pipeline.

 

To date, we’ve been using intuition and contacts to acquire our customers, but now we’d like to level up our customer acquisition process and build more targeted profiles which helps us acquire customers quicker, saving time and money in the process.

 

We are looking for a passionate problem solver with a singular focus on deriving insights from data. In this role you will go through various data related to immigration visas filed by companies over the years to come up with patterns that will shape the business strategy and customer acquisition process for the company.

 

What you’ll do: 

• Build a data preprocessing and cleaning module so that the data that can be fed into the next stage in the pipeline - like a BI tool eg. Tableau etc.

• Analyze the data to gain insights on customer segments that the sales team should focus on

• Create an ETL automation script to clean data so that it requires minimum manual intervention for sales and marketing campaigns 

• Present the data in forms that can be understood by non-data-scientists

• Have excellent organizational skills, can manage multiple initiatives and can land multiple ‘balls in the air’ safely. 

• Have good experience with data analytics. Have to be comfortable sifting through long datasets and having a knack for finding patterns.

• Have experience with R and/or Python and working with large datasets

• Have experience with automating ETL processes and writing scripts to clean data for the use of sales team
