New Change: USCIS Increases H-1B, L-1, and Other Work Visa Premium Processing Fees

USCIS announced on Dec 27, 2024, that it will increase the Premium Processing fee for certain categories starting Feb 26, 2024, due to inflation adjustment.

What fees are increasing?

USCIS is increasing the Premium Processing fee for all of the following visa categories - 

  • E-1

  • E-2

  • E-3

  • H-1B

  • H-3

  • L-1A

  • L-1B

  • LZ

  • O-1

  • P-1

  • P-1S

  • P-2

  • P-2S

  • P-3

  • P-3S

  • Q-1

  • TN-1

  • TN-2


How much will the new Premium Processing fee be? 

The new Premium Processing fee will be

$2,805 (instead of $2500) 


When is this fee increase going into effect? 

The fee increase goes into effect on Febuary 26, 2024.

All petitions requesting premium processing postmarked on or after February 26, 2024, with the incorrect fee will be rejected. 



Are there any other fee changes? 

Yes. The premium processing fee for F-1 students to get their OPT cards will increase from $1500 to $1,685
