Why Raj built WayLit

Immigration work was scattered across email, spreadsheets, and multiple law firms. HR had to chase updates, employees did not know what came next, and important deadlines depended on manual follow-up.

Raj co-founded WayLit with Satya Mishra to bring case management technology, partner-attorney support, and employee service together. His own immigration journey gives him a personal perspective on the uncertainty employees face along the way.

At WayLit, the focus is on making the work clear: who owns a case, what happens next, and where HR or an employee needs to act.

How to read Raj’s articles

Raj writes from his experience as an immigrant and a company founder, with an operational perspective for HR and mobility teams.

His articles are informational. Raj is not an attorney, and WayLit is not a law firm. Legal advice and filing work come from WayLit’s partner immigration attorneys within an engagement. Consult qualified immigration counsel about decisions affecting an employee’s work authorization or immigration status.
